Does Metzad Support Rabbi Meir Kahane/Kahanism?

Israeli leaders have faltered for too long, yielding to Western demands, clinging to the illusion of peace, and avoiding the decisive actions necessary to secure the survival of the Jewish people. In this time of crisis, when Jewish sovereignty is under attack from both within and without, a movement has emerged to restore the vision of Jewish strength.

While Metzad does not align itself with Kahanism in its entirety, we recognize that the Jewish people cannot afford the luxury of Western-style democracy. Israel’s survival depends on complete Jewish control over its land, governance, and security—an idea Rabbi Meir Kahane understood well. His vision, though controversial, highlighted the need for Jewish strength and self-determination, not compromise.

The True Legacy of Kahanism: Its Foundations

Rabbi Meir Kahane’s Jewish Defense League and the outlawed Kach Party were built on five fundamental principles:

• Arab nations have no right to any part of Eretz Yisrael, the Land of Israel.

• Ensuring a Jewish majority is critical, as demography dictates our fate.

• Israel should be guided by the Torah, not Western liberalism, because Jewish existence cannot be secured through democracy alone.

• Weakness breeds fear, while strength ensures respect and security.

• Assimilation is a threat to Jewish identity; Jews must maintain separation from other nations.

Kahane’s assassination in 1990, at the hands of an Arab extremist, serves as a painful reminder of the price of advocating for a Jewish-majority state and uncompromising security for Israel. His death highlights the dangers faced by those who defend Israel’s sovereignty, but his message remains vital in today’s world.

Returning to the Kahane Doctrine: Metzad

Metzad does not claim to be a Kahanist movement, and we believe that religious Jews are no better than secular Jews. We understand the need to balance traditionalism with secularism. However, we also recognize that democracy becomes irrelevant if it endangers the Jewish people's survival. Jewish identity in Israel must come before Western democratic ideals. In a world where hostile Arab majorities can vote, the idea of "Jewish democracy" is hollow. Jewish sovereignty cannot exist in a self-destructive system that weakens us and empowers our enemies. The "land for peace" approach, which Kahane fiercely opposed, only invites disaster. We demand unwavering Jewish sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, and Gaza—no retreat, no compromise.

Metzad advocates for an armed populace so that no Jew is ever vulnerable. We cannot rely solely on the police to protect us; the safety of the Jewish people is our responsibility. Every home should be a fortress, and every Jew a skilled marksman. Among Kahane’s demands was the restoration of the Third Temple and Jewish control over the Temple Mount. While the Temple cannot be rebuilt until the arrival of Mashiach, it is disgraceful that a mosque sits atop this sacred site. Metzad stands against Islamic dominance and in favor of free Jewish worship at Har HaBayit. As long as the Jewish people do not control the Temple Mount, we remain in exile. In these critical times, Metzad stands firm in its commitment to ensuring the survival and strength of the Jewish people. We reject the false promises of peace at the expense of our sovereignty and security. With unwavering resolve, we advocate for a future where Jewish identity and control over the land are paramount, and where no Jew is ever left vulnerable. Our movement is not just about reclaiming territory; it is about restoring the dignity and self-determination of the Jewish people, ensuring that we never again falter in the face of threats, both internal and external. The vision of a strong, unified, and secure Jewish nation is within our reach, and Metzad will continue to fight for it with relentless determination.
